Begin Again
Met up with the Northern Son boys to shoot a studio session music video for their new song. I had such a fun time playing guitar with these guys a couple years ago, so it was rad to hang with them again on a creative project. Also, here’s a little interview with the guys talking about their new line up and new direction. Enjoy!

Hurricane Roses
We’re moving along on the Hurricane Roses documentary!
They’ve been writing a new album over the past year and are in the beginning stages of recording. This documentary is starting to take shape in my brain after having shot a ton of b-roll with them as the writing process began. I can’t wait for all of you to see it!
Here’s a few stills from the footage so far…

Also, here’s a little promo video Peter Lindsey shot and edited with some of the footage I’ve been shooting for the doc to help promote their Indiegogo album fundraiser. If you dig the band, show them some love!

Dreams
My wife and I love Disneyland.
(warning: this is gonna be a long post, enjoy)
It’s where I proposed. It’s where she said yes. It’s where we spent a long and relaxing week on our honeymoon. It’s a dreamland. We don’t even have to be on a ride… just cuddled up in New Orleans Square, waiting for the fireworks to start.
My love for Disneyland is very similar to the love I have for what I do, and for all the opportunities that seem to keep opening up and pushing me along. I can’t wait to share this with my wife someday… to be working side by side with her everyday.
After all, I love inspiration, and I love being inspired.
And my wife is a constant source of inspiration.
So I’m set.
Here’s a little playlist I made for her a little while back. And yes, Katy Perry is on it. Enjoy!
It’s been so great watching our dreams come true… waking up everyday, feeling inspired, working hard, and being so damn proud of the things we make. There’s nothing better than that. Everyone deserves it… and I think everyone needs it.
It’s good for the soul.
Back to work.

Started working on a lyric video today, then took a little siesta. It was just so damn hot in San Jose. Well, for the bay area it was. Froyo and an afternoon episode of Colbert helped cool things down.
Late night animation sessions are the best sometimes, especially when you have a tasty little tropical drink in a rad mug you got from your recent vacation in Florida.
Here’s a few more pics of the Tigercave.
Tropical drink recipe below.

Can’t wait to start writing and recording music again. With my new, more flexible schedule I’m sure I’ll find a few hours here and there to make it happen.

Fore the past few months, I have been listening to Tycho so much. I honestly can’t get enough of Scott Hansen’s music. It’s great to play in the background while being creative.
So is Snoop Lion.
So bomb.

Just picked up a Tamron 17-50 F/2.8. It’s a pretty sweet lens for the price. Really enjoyed shooting with it in Florida last week. It’ll be nice to have in the collection for The Sunday Saloon videos.
Pumped.

Ok, here it is boys and girls…

Sexy Buckets
I love working with Jeremy and Peter over at Clique Cinema and Cheryl at Lincoln Street Studios. Only they can make a bucket look sexy. Well, I guess it’s actually the product designer, Scot Herbst, who really made it look sexy in the first place. But Jeremy and Peter did the filming, editing, and music… I did the motion.
Anyway, so stoked to be working more with Clique and hope to work more with Scot. He’s a fantastic product designer. Super artist and creative. Enjoy our little bucket video and go pick one up at Home Depot!
